This project was informed by both design research and real-world performance experience. As a working musician who previously performed alongside Harrison, I brought first-hand insight into how audiences move through venues, what actually gets noticed in low-light, high-distraction environments, and how fans naturally interact with signage between songs. That perspective guided key decisions around scale, contrast, color, and hierarchy — ensuring the banners weren’t just visually striking, but purpose-built to perform in real gig settings and support visibility, engagement, and tipping.
The final banner designs use a bold, modern poster style built for high-energy, low-light performance spaces. Oversized typography, high-contrast color blocking, and simplified layouts ensure strong legibility from a distance while keeping the focus on Harrison as the visual anchor. Black-and-white performance photography paired with vibrant color fields creates a striking silhouette, guiding attention to his name, website, and tipping access — balancing visual impact with real-world functionality during live shows.
Design development involved iterative refinement of layout, typography, color, and imagery to ensure the banners performed effectively in live, low-light environments. Multiple layout variations were tested and adjusted to improve long-distance legibility, QR scan-ability, and overall visual balance. Through this process, the designs were streamlined into a cohesive system that maintains consistency across all banners while maximizing clarity, impact, and usability during live performances.
The concept centers on turning traditional gig signage into a bold, performance-ready brand presence. Rather than treating the banners as background décor, they were designed as active extensions of Harrison’s stage presence — visually reinforcing his identity while guiding audience attention toward meaningful actions like visiting his site and tipping. The approach blends modern poster design with practical performance marketing, creating signage that feels as intentional and expressive as the music itself.
